Glass begins to bend at around 600°C. If the temperature is lower than that, it won’t bend; if it’s too high, it will flow too much. Keep these general guidelines for forming temperatures in mind.
The release paper burns completely at approximately 400°C; its slow-cooling point is approximately 500°C, and the glass begins to bend at approximately 600°C.
Each technique is categorized based on the temperature range above the point where the glass begins to bend (slump → sagging → tack → full → cast).
