Bullseye Tekta is a series of COE90 thin-sheet glass manufactured by Bullseye Glass in the United States. While sharing the same COE90 composition as standard Bullseye sheet glass, it is characterized by being available in thicknesses of around 2 mm—thinner than typical Bullseye sheets (approximately 3–6 mm)—and can be obtained as large, flat sheets (§14.1). True to its name—Tekta (meaning “architecture” in Greek)—it is positioned as a material well-suited for large-scale architectural glass works and delicate expressions.
Since Bullseye Tekta belongs to the same COE 90 series as standard Bullseye, the same firing program (full fusing at 780°C, tack firing at 700–740°C, and annealing at 482°C) can be applied as is. Due to its thinness (around 2 mm), the plate-count effect is pronounced during fusing: a single sheet tends to shrink due to surface tension, two sheets stacked together help maintain shape, and three or more sheets tend to flatten under their own weight. Slump firing allows for shaping at lower temperatures than usual, making this material well-suited for creating delicate, thin-film glass works. Both transparent Tekta (colorless) and colored varieties are available, but due to their large size, care must be taken when positioning them in artwork and during handling.
