Program input refers to the process of entering firing program parameters (such as target temperature, ramp-up time, and hold time) into the program controller. Input methods vary by model and may include physical buttons on the controller, a touch panel, or remote input via a PC or smartphone. Since input errors can directly lead to firing failures, it is important to verify the settings after entering them.

When entering data, carefully input the sequence, temperature, and time values for each step from the firing design sheet, and be sure to review all steps to verify the entries after inputting them. In particular, entering the target temperature with the wrong number of digits (e.g., entering 81°C or 8,100°C instead of 810°C) can lead to serious accidents. On models that allow for simulation (test run) before saving the program, be sure to verify the settings.
