"Material FLOW" is a concept central to STUDIO POSI’s creative philosophy. Glass, as a material, possesses an inherent “flow” created by heat, gravity, surface tension, and viscosity. This perspective holds that the material’s inherent beauty is revealed when the artist approaches the creative process not by forcibly controlling or correcting that flow, but by “listening to,” “drawing out,” and “recording” it.
From the perspective of Material FLOW, unexpected changes caused by loss of transparency, reaction lines, creep, and firing are not viewed as “failures,” but rather as “evidence of flow” exhibited by the material.
